So we went to the desert over the weekend. Spontaneous? Yes. Fun? YES!!!
This four day weekend came outa’no’where for my wife and the first thing that came to mind was that we needed to avail ourselves of such a great opportunity and leave town. The second thing that came to mind was to take the wedding dress along. I think this is becoming a tradition.
If you have followed my work or looked over my portfolios, you may have noticed Susie already from some images from Big Bend in West Texas. I have the great fortune of having a stunningly beautiful, excited and eager wife for a model. She has the great fortune of having an excited and eager husband for an on call photographer. It’s a grand symbiosis.
Anyhow, this is just a bit of what came from our time in White Sands. The weather was fabulous and although not showcased in this post, some great storms came up at sunset each night that made the landscape a wonderful wash of pinks, purples and blues. We also got stuck in a near whiteout sandstorm as icing on the cake. We’re still shaking sand out of everything (ears and nose come straight to mind), and it’s time for a sensor cleaning
